Don’t be HAUNTED by a Messy House

It’s dark as you get home.  You unlock your front door, slowly walk in and… BOO! It’s a messy house.  The good news is - you don’t have to spend this Halloween cleaning.  The Alexandria community has a wide variety of spooky events to enjoy so you can spend more time with friends and family, and less time worrying about your own “haunted” house.  We’ll take care of that for you.

Grief & Ghost Tours

October 29th & 30th

Leave your messy house behind to go to a REAL haunted house.  This year, the historic Lee-Fendall House is leading ghost tours after dark.  You’ll learn about the mysterious disappearances and tragic deaths that have happened within its halls.  Talk about a real ghost tale.

Nightmare at Barkhaus

October 30th

Is your living room covered in fur? With Nightmare at Barkhaus, you can celebrate halloween with your favorite friend while we’ll take care of the vacuuming.  

Dress up your furry friend in his best halloween costume for the 2nd Annual Dog Costume Contest.  Barkhaus will award prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, to be announced at 8pm.  Costumes for humans are also highly encouraged.  Come out to this event for  spooky (and Scooby) snacks while watching adorable  dogs walk the runway.

Halloween StoryTime at Tall Ship Providence

October 31st

Ahoy! Take your family out for Halloween Storytime aboard the Providence.  Tall Ship Providence is putting on 15 minute programs, led by Captain John Paul Jones for a spooky night out on the seas.  Everyone is encouraged to come in costume and the foundation will be handing out treats.

Boos & Booze Cafè 44

October 29th-31st

Your favorite waterside eatery, Cafè 44,  is hosting its annual Halloween event!  Look forward to halloween themed craft cocktails and treats.  Space is limited and will fill up quickly, so the restaurant highly encourages reservations (and to come in costume!)
